Es ist ganz einfach: Man nehme einen Aufkleber auf dem FUCK steht, klebe diesen auf ein Schild oder was sonst so in der Nähe ist, macht ein Foto davon und läd es anschließend auf Fuck This Website hoch. Schon entsteht eine wunderbare Sammlung von “FUCK it” Fotos. (via BuzzFeed)

Nach etlichen 8-bit Musik-Remixes, u.A. von The Prodigy und Weezer, nun mal ein 8-bit Gemälde.

Jude Buffum hat den Dude, Walter und Jesus aus The Big Lebowsky in 8-bit abgebildet. In seinem Flickr Portfolio findet man noch weitere dieser 8-bit Spielereien.(via buzzfeed)

Detroit Photography: Book of Love

Mitch Cope plant ein Foto-Buch über Detroit mit 6 weiteren Fotografen, einige sehr interessante Fotos kann man schon auf mitchcope.com ansehen.

Detroit is one of the most visually interesting cities in the world however it is also one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented cities. This group of photographs illustrates what contemporary Detroit artists have been doing in regards to developing an understanding and appreciation for this complex and diverse city from street portraits of the “survivors” to the landscapes of wild new growth to the industrial leftovers.

These seven artists have been working in the city as explorers, adventurers and pioneers for years to capture the city as it changes, evolves, devolves and transforms into something unbelievable, profound and heartbreaking. In the end they hope as a group to show Detroit as it is, not what it should be or what it was, but how it is. This in itself a provocative gesture as there are not many who feel content with the Detroit of today.

The photographs here are made within the last 5 years, all within the City of Detroit.

They are: Corine Smith, Mitch Cope, Clinton Snider, Mark Alor Powell, Antonio Gomez, Ingo Vetter, Scott Hocking

ISS und Space Shuttle zwischen Sonne und Erde

Dieses atemberaubende Foto zeigt die International Space Station mit angedocktem Space Shuttle Endeavour vor der Oberfläche der Sonne. Das Foto stammt von Thierry Legault, der es mit Spezial-Equipment aufgenommen hat.

Wer noch nicht persönlich auf dem Mond war, der kann auf environmentalgraffiti.com eine Reihe schöner Fotos von Erdauf und -untergänge bewundern.

And that even the Earth can look like a sickle previously patented by the Moon? If you happen to be there, that is, or even better, orbiting around it. Irgendwie bin ich momentan auf dem Space-Trip. Umso besser, dass The Big Picture zum 40. Jubiläum der Mondlandung eine Bilderserie mit 40 überwältigenden Bildern zur Erinnerung an Apollo 11 im Angebot hat.

Collected here are 40 images from that journey four decades ago, when, in the words of astronaut Buzz Aldrin: “In this one moment, the world came together in peace for all mankind”.
